Trendy Shoppes has realized we need more flexibility for our customers and more shopping options. We are currently in the process of moving to a new shopping carts. But stay tuned as in the last few days we have received more beautiful handmade items from 5 vendors!

No…not really but it sure looks good. I met La Patisserie Jolie not too long ago when I designed her Etsy banner/avatar and some business cards for her. She had this awesome wedding soap bar that literally looked like chocolate. You can see the design in her etsy banner. So of course since I’m such a desert freak who loves bath & body products, I just knew I needed to feature her awesome designs in our trendy blog!!

La Patisserie Jolie specializes in dessert-themed glycerin based soaps in delicious and unusual fragrances. She make all the soaps herself in small batches to ensure quality control.

Today we received some beautiful jewelry from Pamela at Penelope & Anastasia. Each piece featured has been designed just for Trendy Shoppes.

Pamela started making jewelry in 2004, because she couldn’t find anything she liked in the stores that she could afford. Her creations span the design gamut from Swarovskis to Vintage Baubles mixed in with today. Pamela designs for the girl who doesn’t want to blend in with the crowd.

This reusable pad is earth friendly and body friendly! Tampons and regular maxi pads contain dioxins, which can be VERY harmful to your body! This is a huge no-no in my book. I am surprised and very disappointed to read this morning in the Modish blog that Unique-vintage.com has stolen a dress directly from Trashy Diva. Trashy Diva has worked very hard for a long time to design the “Trixie” dress and one of their own wholesale accounts took this dress to a manufacturer and have them reproduced in different colors.

As I have created a site to help the indie designer, I know the hard work and pride that goes into each piece that is designed. As stated on Trashy Diva’s blog (read it all here):

We are almost finished with our initial build of our online store for handmade items. We only have a few more pictures to take and then add to the site.
